JAMA Obesity Theme Issue

The cover image for the Jan 16, 2018 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. This issue was dedicated to research and reviews on the current status of obesity management and long-term care.

The image focuses on aspects of diet decision-making and food choices, by ‘expanding’ a few common foods and beverages into their key components and caloric content.

Creating editorial images such as these is a rewarding process of iteration and experimentation, to tackle elements of content, style, and arrangement.
This is our 10th cover for JAMA as a company, and our 31st for them, overall as individual illustrators!
